Shorty Peak Lookout is a unique way to escape city life and see the magnificence of Northern Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia. A moderate to steep 2.5 mile hike with a 1,300 foot elevation gain is required, and at the top guests can enjoy 360 degree views, wildlife, and stargazing. The lookout was refurbished in 2005, and is equipped with two twin beds and other amenities, however no drinking water or electricity is available. This is an excellent spot for birding and landscape photography.
