About

Red Diamond Group Campground is a small, secluded site nestled adjacent to the South Fork of the McKenzie River within Willamette National Forest. The campground is shaded by Douglas fir, maple, and alder trees, providing relief during warm summer days. It accommodates up to 25 people and 10 vehicles on a single loop with ample parking. The site offers a primitive camping experience with picnic tables, campfire rings, portable toilets, and trash collection. No potable water, showers, or hookups are available, so campers must bring their own water supply. Fishing, kayaking, and swimming are popular activities on the river, which can be accessed directly from the campground. Nearby recreation includes the Box Canyon Trail Area with opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Chucksney Mountain Trail, Grasshopper Mountain Trail, and Roaring Ridge are also accessible. The Three Sisters Wilderness Area is within reach for those seeking more extensive backcountry exploration.
