About

Ives Run Campground occupies a scenic position on Hammond Lake within the Tioga-Hammond Lakes recreation area of north-central Pennsylvania. Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, this large developed campground provides nearly 200 reservable sites spread across multiple loops, accommodating everything from tent campers to large RVs up to 53 feet. Site types include full hookups with water, electric, and sewer, electric/water only sites, and primitive non-electric sites in the Pine loop with lake views. The campground offers substantial amenities including modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, a dump station, and a camp store selling food, camping supplies, and kayak rentals. Recreation opportunities abound with a swimming beach featuring a grass sunning area and concrete bottom, boat ramp with rental mooring slips, playgrounds, sport fields, and volleyball court. Four hiking trails can be accessed from the facility, including a mile-long archery trail with targets and tree stands near the visitor center. Surrounded by the forested ridges of the Allegheny Plateau in the Appalachian Mountains, Hammond Lake draws anglers pursuing crappie, musky, bass, walleye, and channel catfish. The surrounding fields and forests provide hunting opportunities for both large and small game species native to the eastern hardwood forests.
