About

Shaw House is a historic stone masonry cabin located in East Cochise Stronghold within the Coronado National Forest's Dragoon Mountains. The property sleeps up to 10 guests across three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, another with two twin-over-double bunk beds, and a third with a double futon. Two additional full-sized futons in the living room provide extra sleeping capacity. The cabin features two full bathrooms with flush toilets, sinks, and showers. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, cookware, dishes, and coffeepot. Climate control via air conditioning and heating makes the cabin comfortable year-round. Outside amenities include a propane grill, picnic table, and screened porch. Guests must provide their own food, sleeping bags or linens, pillows, towels, dish soap, matches, first aid kit, toilet paper, and garbage bags. The surrounding Cochise Stronghold area offers world-class rock climbing and bouldering with routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.12, as well as excellent hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The rugged granite formations, wooded slopes, and abundant wildlife create a spectacular natural setting. Nearby attractions include Chiricahua National Monument, Fort Bowie National Historic Site, and the Amerind Foundation.
