Indian Creek Campground occupies a scenic spot at the edge of Rimrock Lake along the Tieton River corridor in Washington's Cascades. The 39-site campground sits at 3,000 feet elevation within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, wetlands, and diverse conifer forests. Each site includes a picnic table, and vault toilets and drinking water are provided. The area supports diverse wildlife including mountain goats, native fish, and migratory birds, with bald eagles, northern spotted owls, gray wolves, and grizzly bears found in nearby areas. Recreation opportunities include lake fishing and swimming at Rimrock Lake, day hiking, and access to the Pacific Crest Trail. The Tieton River provides whitewater rafting, particularly exciting in September when the Bureau of Reclamation releases water. Boulder Cave National Recreation Trail is a popular nearby attraction featuring an accessible trail along the river and the opportunity to explore Boulder Cave. The campground experiences heavy usage during summer months, with warm sunny weather typical in summer and significant snow in winter.

Directions

From Yakima, travel 37 miles west on Highway 12 (White Pass Highway) to the campground entrance at milepost 159.5, about 16 miles west of the junction of Highways 12 and 410. From Packwood, travel east on Highway 12 approximately 20 miles east of White Pass.
