Construction Vehicles on Scenic Drive
On a section of Scenic Drive near Cabin Camp 3, a culvert under the road was recently replaced. Use caution and follow posted speed limits. Be aware of construction vehicles on the roadway in this area.
Playground in Pine Grove Picnic Area Closed
The park is improving accessibility at the playground in Pine Grove Picnic Area. During construction, until approximately the end of December 2025, the playground is closed and 10 nearby parking spaces will be used for construction vehicles only.
About
Cabin Camp 4 is one of five historic group cabin camps in Prince William Forest Park, constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The camp has been recently updated with new roofs and windows to preserve these historic structures for future generations. With a capacity of 199 guests, the camp primarily features 10-person sleeping cabins along with a dining hall equipped with a complete kitchen, craft lodges, a fire pit, an infirmary, and a unique theater building/gymnasium that is exclusive to this camp among all the park's cabin facilities. The camp is located on Pleasant Road, which transitions from paved to gravel. The facility offers modern amenities including hot showers year-round, flush toilets, and potable water. The entire camp must be reserved as a single unit at least two weeks in advance through an application process with a $25 application fee. The nightly rate is $750 for the entire facility, not including the $20 per vehicle park entrance fee. Groups must follow quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and all camping tents or additional structures are prohibited within the cabin camp area.
Directions
GPS applications don't always provide accurate directions to the cabin camps. From North & South: Use Interstate 95, take exit 152B west toward Manassas on Highway 234 Dumfries Road. Continue straight for three miles, turn left on Pleasant Road. From West: Travel east on State Highway 234 Dumfries Road, turn right on Pleasant Road. Pleasant Road starts out paved but quickly turns to gravel. Bear left at a bend in the road. Drive 3/4 mile to Cabin Camp 4.
