Overview

The East Potomac Park Softball Fields are located within East Potomac Park near the intersection of Ohio Drive SW and East Basin Drive SW, just east of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. The East Potomac Park Softball Fields are two of the twelve softball fields managed by the National Mall and Memorial Parks.

Reservations are available for one-hour time slots, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM during the designated athletic season.

The East Potomac Park Softball Fields offer athletic opportunities such as baseball, softball, and kickball for small-group and team-play on both a casual use and competitive use basis. 

Facilities

The East Potomac Park Softball Fields are comprised of two fields with backstops, infields, and outfields. Bases and pitcher’s plates are not provided. 

Natural Features

The fields are located at the entrance of East Potomac Park along the Washington Channel. Both fields are just a short walk away from the Tidal Basin and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

East Potomac Park offers additional attractions managed by outside agencies including the East Potomac Tennis Courts and the East Potomac Golf Course.  

Other local attractions within an approximately five-mile radius include: the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, WWII Memorial, Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial, and the National Mall.

Charges & Cancellations

Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days in advance will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Reservations that are cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.
