West Potomac Park Softball Fields

Summary

The West Potomac Park Softball Fields are comprised of eight fields offering baseball, softball, and kickball activities. With metered parking and nearby restrooms, visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the Potomac River and monuments, as well as access to the nearby attractions of the National Mall.

Overview

The West Potomac Park Softball Fields are comprised of eight fields located along Ohio Dr. SW between Inlet Bridge and the Lincoln Memorial. The West Potomac Park Softball Fields are eight of the twelve softball fields managed by the National Mall and Memorial Parks. 

Reservations are available for one-hour time slots, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM during the designated athletic season. 

Recreation

The West Potomac Park Softball Fields offer athletic opportunities such as baseball, softball, and kickball for small-group and team-play on both a casual use and competitive use basis. 

Facilities

The West Potomac Park Softball Fields are comprised of eight softball fields with backstops, infields, and outfields. Bases and pitcher’s plates are not provided. Metered parking is available along Ohio Dr. SW and West Basin Dr. SW. The nearest restrooms are located at the FDR Memorial Bookstore and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bookstore. 

Natural Features

Conveniently located along Ohio Dr. SW, the West Potomac Park Softball Fields offer beautiful views of the Potomac River and Washington Monument. Some fields also offer views of areas such as the Tidal Basin, Lincoln Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.  

Nearby Attractions

The West Potomac Park Softball fields offer nearby access to multi-use paths, as well as the various monuments, memorials, and greenspaces located along the National Mall.  

Charges & Cancellations

Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days in advance will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Reservations that are cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.
