West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields

Summary

The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields are five fields located along Ohio Dr. SW, offering athletic opportunities for small-group and team-play, with beautiful views of the Potomac River, Lincoln Memorial, and other nearby attractions on the National Mall. Metered parking is available, as well as restrooms at the nearby monuments.

Overview

The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields are comprised of five fields located along Ohio Dr. SW between West Basin Dr. SW and the Lincoln Memorial. The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields are five of the twelve mixed use fields managed by the National Mall and Memorial Parks. 

Reservations are available for one-hour time slots, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM during the designated athletic season. 

Recreation

The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields offer athletic opportunities for small-group and team-play on both a casual use and competitive use basis. 

Important note - full-contact rugby may only be played on the Raoul Wallenberg Mixed Use Field and the Hains Point Mixed Use Field. The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields and the Lincoln Memorial Grounds Mixed Use Fields (JFK Hockey Fields) cannot currently acommodate rugby without unacceptable levels of turf damage. Touch-style rugby played without scrums, rucks, or mauls, may be played on any mixed use field.

Facilities

The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields are comprised of five fields on an open turf area. Cones, nets, or other equipment are not provided. Metered parking is available along Ohio Dr. SW and West Basin Dr. SW. The nearest restrooms are located at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial bookstore and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial bookstore.

Conveniently located along Ohio Dr. SW, the West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields offer beautiful views of the Potomac River, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and the Washington Monument.   

Nearby Attractions

The West Potomac Park Mixed Use Fields offer nearby access to multi-use paths, as well as the various monuments, memorials, and greenspaces located along the National Mall. 

Charges & Cancellations

Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days in advance will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Reservations that are cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.
