Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields

Summary

The Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields provide two ball fields for small-group and team-play of baseball, softball, and kickball with beautiful views of the nearby memorials and monuments. Located just north of the Lincoln Memorial and west of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the fields offer a gift shop and food kiosk nearby. Visitors to the area can explore the other monuments, memorials, and greenspaces located along the National Mall.

Overview

The Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields, also known as the Henry Bacon Ball Fields, are two ball fields located just north of the Lincoln Memorial and west of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.  

Reservations are available for one-hour time slots, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM during the designated athletic season.

The Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields offer athletic opportunities such as baseball, softball, and kickball for small-group and team-play on both a casual use and competitive use basis. 

Facilities

The Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields are comprised of two softball fields with backstops, infields, and outfields. Bases and pitcher’s plates are not provided. The nearest restrooms are located at the Lincoln Memorial. A gift shop and food kiosk are also located nearby.

The Lincoln Memorial Grounds Softball Fields offer beautiful views of both the Lincoln Memorial and Memorial Bridge. Nearby, users can find the Lincoln Memorial and Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Watergate Steps, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial.

Charges & Cancellations

Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days in advance will incur a $10 cancellation fee. Reservations that are cancelled less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.
